To Have and Have Not (1944)
Almost a month after it was first sent, this photo’s found its way back home, albeit with a slight change. Her signature is shaky (which is to be expected for an 88-year-old), but I’m still absolutely thrilled, and every bit as grateful as I was the day the package went out in the mail. Thanks, Betty.
Even more grateful that I was able to express my appreciation of her inspiring attitude, warmth, and love before she passed on. You always played it honestly and intelligently, and I love you for it. Say hello to “Steve” for me, won’t you?
